The 6th Form Hub

We have a very successful 6th Form Hub based in Shotton, which allows our students to broaden their experience and prepare for transition to College and life outside of school. We asked some of the students from Hub 2 Class to share what they enjoy doing at the Hub.

"We have out own Gym with weights, monkey bars, a treadmill and a punching bag. It's really great for keeping fit and it's great fun! - Lailah

I love doing art and craft - we have made some amazing art to go up on display on our walls. - Emily

My best part of the week is doing football with Kicks for Kids. We walk there every week, using our road safety skills as we travel down the streets to the field. I really enjoy practising my skills and I'm getting more confident - James

We have a big room for students to spend their free time in. We have big tables where we sit and chat together and eat our lunch. I like putting music on to sing and have a dance to!! - Nazar

We go to Northop College every week. This term we have leanred how to do Car Valeting and we will learn different work skills in the future. We get to use the computers and we have out own ID badges that we have to wear when walking around the college site. I like ordering my own snack at the college cafe! - Aliyah

I like doing Drama and Dance on Fridays with Steve. We have been putting a performance together and I'm looking forward to showing it to my friends. - Elijah

I enjoy doing Karate lessons. We have learned how to do 8 moves. Hi-yah!! - Ffion

We have made a McDonald's Cafe at the Hub. I like taking people's orders to them - Milli

As you can see the students are having an amazing time at the Hub and they will have opportunity again to share some of the exciting learning and living experiences on offer!
