Safeguarding
Ysgol Maes Hyfryd has a statutory duty as well as a pastoral responsibility towards our pupils' fundamental right to be protected from harm. Children cannot learn effectively unless they feel safe and secure.
All staff must have an up to date Enhanced DBS clearance and have received recognised Child Protection Training.
Security
The main access doors into YMH are kept locked at all times and are activated by fobs carried by staff.
There is a perimeter fence and the gates to the rear of the building are locked.
All visitors to the school site must sign in at reception via the electronic system and are accompanied into school.
Parents who are collecting their children are asked to wait in reception.
If they wish to speak to the class teacher an appointment should be made.
YMH is monitored continually via the range of CCTV cameras around the school.
