L1 Weekly News


In the morning we all sat in circle time and spoke about what lovely things we all did over the weekend.  Cheerleading in the hall for those who are in the cheerleading squad.  Maths snakes and ladders.  In Re looking and learning about different celebrations especially Chinese New Year.  In Technology making a 3d Chinese Dragon model they looked great, also making a climbing frame using play straws.


In English listened to chapter 5 of How to Train your Dragon, completing a worksheet.  InMaths telling the time o’clock and half past completing worksheet.  In art with Mr Fitz made some great animation videos out of lego.  In Culture listening to different types of music picking out different sections of the orchestra.


In English How to Train your Dragon we were learning about how to speak Dragonese today lots of fun completing worksheets.  Culture listening to different types of music picking out the musical instruments from the different sections of the orchestra.  After lunch a visit from Pen Coch today year 6’s came here for transition afternoon we all went into the hall sang and played musical instruments.


In the morning Maths learning about money and different kinds of coins, completing a worksheet.  In Humanities learning about different kinds of weather, and what we would wear during winter and summer.  After lunch Pse learning how to be Active Listening and how we speak to one another, listening and asking questions completing a worksheet.  In Ict with Mr Morgan working on animation using purple mash.


A busy day today we visited Techniquest in Wrexham a great day out learning about Science we all built  a lion made out of lego and brought it to life using animation pupils loved it.  We ate our lunch in the cafe, we then had another play in the science rooms before getting onto the buses back to school.
