Ysgol Maes Hyfryd's admission policy is in accordance with Flintshire Local Education Authority guidelines. All pupils who attend YMH will have undergone a full statutory assessment which will result in a Statement of Educational Need in identifying Ysgol Maes Hyfryd as the named school.

Families moving into the area are advised to contact the Head of Inclusion at County Hall, Mold on 01352 752121, to discuss an appropriate school place.

Parents wishing to visit the school should contact the local authority and ask for a referral before arranging a visit to the school.  The local authority will inform the school of any parents who wish to visit the school. 

The Transition process for all pupils at any age is very important and is carefully structured at YMH.

Each young person is provided with an enhanced transition wherever possible, comprehensively planned to accommodate each individuals needs.
