Important! Free School Meals Update May 6th 2020
Information from FCC regarding Free school meals: All parents of children who receive a free school meal will have received a letter from the council which explained that we shall be moving to direct payments instead of a lunch delivery. We are planning for this to start from Monday 18th May 2020. Whilst we had many parents’ bank details through the provision of Universal Credit and the PDG Access grant, there were still some families where we needed to ask for this information. A letter was sent to these families with advice on how to provide their details securely and we have used our public communications to reassure parents that it is a genuine letter not a scam. We will also be including a leaflet to parents reminding them of these changes within their food delivery this week. It is really important that parents act on the advice within the letter by the deadline of Thursday 14th May if they are to receive their payments on time. There will be no facility for back dating payments if parents have not met that deadline.
